Germany

In Germany, EAPPI is administered by a coordination circle that includes the Association of Protestant Churches and Missions in Germany (EMW), Bread for the World – Protestant Development Service and the following three sending organisations: pax christi Germany, Berlin Mission (BMW) and Evangelical Mission in Solidarity (EMS). The network of former EAs, EAPPI Netzwerk, is responsible for the programme’s lobby and advocacy work in Germany.

South Africa EAPPI (SA-EAPPI) became part of the programme in 2004 serving from the desk of the Justice, Reconciliation and Healing at the South African Council of Churches in partnership with the Christian Council of Sweden.

Over the years, 1,800 ecumenical accompaniers (EAs) have worked to create conditions for a just peace. Today we have 22 active countries responsible for recruiting & training EAs and coordinating advocacy in their own country.
